A Chinese inspired recipe
An easy recipe for home-made noodles following an European style. It can take up to an hour to cook everything, but once you taste them, it will be all worth it.
Ingredients for 5/6 people:
- 1 package of Egg noodles
- 2 zucchini
- 2 carrots
- 1 Small cabbage
- 300 gr shrimps (frozen or fresh)
- Soy sauce
- Salt
Process:
- Start by washing all the vegetables. Cut the zucchini and carrots in thin long slices. This type of cut in the cooking world is called “julienne cut”. Put them in a pan and fry them for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, you can wash and then cut the cabbage leaves.
- After 10 minutes that the zucchini and carrots are cooking, add the cabbage and cook everything together for another 10 minutes.
- While the vegetables are cooking, put a pot full of water on the stove and let the shrimps boil. If they are frozen, it normally takes 5 minutes for them to be ready. If they are fresh it takes 10 min.
- Once the shrimps are ready, add them in the vegetables pan and turn off the stove.
- Now, let a pot of water boil and then cook the egg noodles for 3 minutes following the instructions written on the package.
- When the noodles are ready, add them to the pan with the vegetables and the shrimps. Add the soy sauce as a dressing, put as much as you like. I suggest you to taste it and add if necessary (Image 2).
- Switch on the stove for 3/5 minutes and then serve the noodles (Image 1).
Variants:
- If you do not like zucchini and carrots, you can replace them with other vegetables.
Tipps:
- We suggest you to use a wok pan so that it will be easier to fry and stir the ingredients.
