Gluten free Orange Cake

A soft orangy treat

This orange‑scented cake is a simple, feel‑good treat. Freshly squeezed orange juice brings natural flavor, and it is good for snacking, sharing, or enjoying alongside a warm drink. With minimal prep, it’s the kind of recipe you can do for a birthday party, a dinner dessert or to have for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 250 gr flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 50 gr sunflower oil
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar
  • 3 oranges

Process:

  1. Prepare the orange juice: Cut 2 oranges in half. Squeeze out the juice and set it aside. From the remaining half. Cut the remaining orange in thin slices. Image 2
  2. Whisk the base: In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until light and smooth. Image 3
  3. Add the oil: Pour in the sunflower oil and mix gently.
  4. Incorporate dry ingredients: Add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Mix until just combined. Image 4
  5. Add the orange juice: Pour in the freshly squeezed juice and stir until the batter is even.
  6. Decorate: Pour the batter into a greased pan and gently place the orange slice on top.
  7. Bake: Bake until golden and set, then let cool before slicing. Image 5
