A modify recipe for a tasty bread
As you might know, Italians love eating bread at every meal with everything. If you follow the original receipt for making bread, you will have to let the dough sit for at least 8 hours. If you don’t have time or if you don’t have patience to wait there is another solution. You can substitute the beer yeast with instant yeast and instead of 8 hours you need to let it sit for just one hour. This is a slightly modified receipt for making honey bread with milk and almonds.
Ingredient for 2 loaves:
- 1 package of instant yeast
- 60 gr of butter
- 600 ml of milk
- 113 gr of honey
- 2 tsp of salt
- 960 gr of flour
- Almonds
The process:
- Mix the flour, salt, almonds and the instant yeast in a bowl.
- After having warm up the butter, add it together with the milk in the bowl.
- Mix until obtaining a non-sticky dough, add flour if necessary. Subsequently, add the honey.
- Mix until reaching a sticky consistency.
- Let it rest for one hour at room temperature.
- Pre-heat the oven at 180°.
- After let it sit, prepare two loaves of bread out of the dough obtained. You can either put them in shaped baking trays or you can create the loaves yourself and normally put them in the plane baking tray.
- Cook for 20 min, until the top part become brown
Variants for topping:
- You can add spices depending from your own taste. It can be savory or sweet. For example I added nutmeg or cinnamon.
Tips:
- You can serve it with cheese on top as for example goat cheese or with marmalade.
