Mug Cake

An amazing cake in short time

Did you ever wanted a cake so badly, but you did not have time to make one because it was late night?
Here is the solutions you need, a fast and tasty mug cake.


  • 30 gr (3 Tbsp) Flour (either normal or spelled/rice/buckwheat)
  • 50 ml (3 Tbsp) Milk
  • 10 ml (1 Tbsp) oil
  • 10 gr (1 Tbsp) Sugar
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp of baking powder


  1. Start by cutting the banana in a 250ml mug and mash it using a fork. It should reach a creamy consistency, therefore the more ripe the banana is, the easier it will be.
  2. Then add the flour, the sugar and the baking powder.
  3. Now mix together with the fork or a small whisk and add the milk until you reach a creamy mixture.
  4. Cook in the microwave at 800 Watt (or higher) for 3 minutes.


  • You can change the banana with whatever other ingredient you like as for example, chocolate cream, strawberries or blueberries. The process is always the same, you just need change the banana ingredient.


  • If the fruit or the ingredients you put inside are very sweet, you might want to avoid putting sugar in the mug cake.
