Potatoes filled with ham and cheese

If you are looking for alternative recipe with potatoes, this is the right one. Quite fast and easy to prepare.


  • 1 or 2 potatoes each guest
  • 200 gr of ham
  • 100 gr of white cheese in slices
  • 50 gr parmesan
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Boil the potatoes in warm water or in the microwave for 10/15 minutes depending on the dimensions. They should not be cooked all the way.
  2. In the meantime, slice the ham and cheese in stripes.
  3. When the potatoes are cooked, put them on a baking tray and do small cuts on the top of them.
  4. Fill the cuts with cheese and ham alternating them. So in one cut put the ham and in the other put the cheese. Proceed with these steps with all the potatoes. (Image 1)
  5. Once you have completed to fill in the potatoes, sprinkle them with oil, salt, parmesan and pepper.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10 min at 180°.

  • You can use other ingredients for the filling (like substituting white cheese with cheddar) and you can use many other spices on top. For example, you could use curry and curcuma, fresh oregano, thyme. Let your fantasy and taste run free.
