Savoury Pie

An easy way to make a savoury pie


  • 200 gr flour (it can be substitute with dark flour)
  • 100 ml lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 10 gr salt
For the filling:
  • Ham
  • Cheese
  • 3 Eggs (2 if they are large)
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 4 Cherry tomatoes
  • Pepper and salt
  • Pesto

The process:

  1. Prepare the dough. Put the flour in a bowl and mix it thoroughly with the salt. Then make a hole in the middle and fill it with the water and the oil. Mix the dough until reaching a non-sticky consistency, add flour if necessary to reach the desired consistency. Let it sit for half an hour in the fridge.
  2. In the mean time, prepare the filling. Wip the eggs together with the pepper and the milk.
  3. After half and hour, roll the dough in a round baking shape. Image 1
  4. Add the Pesto on the bottom of it, then place the ham and the cheese.
  5. Afterwards, pour the eggs-milk mix inside the baking tray.
  6. Cut the cherry tomatoes and add them on top.
  7. Bake for 20 min at 180° until the eggs become gold-brown.

Variants for filling:

  • You can use whichever ingredient you like the most. Be aware that it should always contain either eggs or cheese because the ingredients need to stick together. Otherwise, the filling will break once cut.
