A Lasagne-inspired Christmas-Tiramisù
Do you like the Christmas period of the year? I mean who does not like the Christmas trees, the cookies, presents and all the good food during the festivities? Here is a perfect recipe to taste with your relatives and family in the most exciting period of the year.
Ingredients for 1 tray:
- 500 gr Mascarpone
- 500 gr Quark
- 500 gr (Strawberry) Marmelade
- 175 gr Cream Cheese (neutral flavor)
- 200 gr Whipped cream
- 150 gr White sugar
- 40 gr Vanilla sugar (4 packs)
- 500 gr Speculatius biscuits
- The measurements depend on the size of your bowl
The process:
- Take half of the fluid whipped cream and mix it with one pack of vanilla sugar in a small bowl. This will later be used to soften the biscuits.
- Whip the whipped cream together the sugar and the rest of the vanilla sugar.
- Mix the quark, mascarpone, creme cheese and then add the whipped cream to it.
- Start by placing a layer of biscuits in the bowl, sprinkle some of the fluid whipped cream on top with a brush, then add a layer of the white cream (as “besciamella”). This might be a bit difficult for the first layer, so you need to hold the biscuits with one hand and spread the creme with the other hand.
- Add a layer of Marmelade on top (as “ragout”).
- Repeat these layer until the bowl fills up. The top layer should be white cream again.
- Let sit for at least one night in the fridge and sprinkle some cinnamon on top right before serving.
Variants
- Instead of using Speculatius biscuits, you can use any other kind of biscuits.
